Imagine that your functional storage system also serves as home decor?

For me, it keeps things simple, and it lessens my mind work when it comes to home decor. It’s like you’ve got a multi-purpose organization system. It’s a win-win solution. That’s why I love it, and I know you’ll love it too!

So, what are these storage ideas that double as home decor?

They can work in any room. But when you use them in the living room or in the entryway, they do make your home feel so inviting.

Their natural materials just make the home feel… well… natural – cool, relaxed, refreshing to the eyes, and it feels like you’re so close to nature!

Combine them with your favorite decor like candles, framed pictures and plants, and you’ve got yourself a really nice decor!

2. Ladder with baskets

I love the idea of using a ladder into an organization solution. If you love DIY, then you can just turn an old ladder into a shelving unit, then you can use that for your organizing needs without costing too much.

Put baskets on those shelves and you’ve got yourself a perfect storage solution and a nice decor too! Here are some perfect examples.

Use it to organize your kids’ toys. Baskets make it easy to keep the living room free from toy clutter. And your toddler can participate during clean up time because it’s really super easy to just toss those toys in the baskets!

I like seating by the window while holding my baby or reading my favorite book (if I have time of course).

If you’re like me, a built-in window seat could be just your favorite place at home! It keeps the place cozy, and the sunlight serves as a natural lighting that brightens up the room. If you have trees near you, it makes you feel very close to nature!

Your kids can read and play here too!

Now under that seat is a prime space for storage, so why not maximize it? You can have open shelves with baskets to hold blankets, books and your kids’ toys.
