
One of my favorite DIY bird feeders is that made of popsicle sticks because it’s just so creative and colorful for the garden. So, I thought maybe there are more popsicle stick crafts that are kid friendly. Because if so, I like to try them!
And yes, there are lots! And that’s what this post is all about.
I gathered a couple of projects that I found online and put them here and I encourage you to try them too! Do these with your kids. These are all super kid friendly and colorful so I’m confident your kids will love these too.
And I can’t help but smile when I look at these projects! I’m sure you’ll do too.

1. Rainbow Cloud Popsicle
I love this rainbow cloud popsicle. It’s so cute! And that cloud smiling? Oh, so adorable!

2. Scarecrow Popsicle Stick
Here’s another that’s just so adorable! And it’s so easy to do.

3. Rainbow Beaded Wind Chime
You can use this wind chime to decorate your outdoor space. And also, when the wind blows it makes a pretty sound. So yes, let the kids make it!

4. Popsicle Stick Flowerpot
Make your garden bright and extra colorful with flowerpots like this. And teach your kids planting in the process! Dual purpose, who doesn’t like that? Because I sure do!

5. Kids Treasure Box
Build little boxes from popsicle sticks. And let your kids use that to keep their little toys.

6. Airplane Craft
Your kids will surely love playing with this. I imagine them holding these little planes and pretend they’re flying around the house. Oh, what a joy to watch!


7. Popsicle Stick Boat
Here’s another toy for the kids – popsicle stick boats. Let them pretend they’re sailing on the sea.

8. Popsicle Stick Flower Craft
These are not just toys your kids can play with, but these can also be additional decors for your home. They’re really pretty!

9. Farm Animals
I didn’t know you can make farm animals from craft sticks. Well, here they are! What a creative thing!

10. Yarn Butterfly
Oh, these are colorful! I imagine the kids playing with these in the garden. And these look nice decors too for the kids’ room.

11. Pen and Pencil Holders
You can make a pen and pencil holder from pure craft sticks by gluing them together, forming a container.

Or you can paste the popsicle sticks on a holder that you already have. It’s like you’re wrapping the container with these colorful craft sticks. You can use washi tapes to decorate the popsicle sticks.

You may also paint your popsicle sticks like this one here. Or just buy those already colored craft sticks.

12. Pocket Fan
I remember making this when I was a kid. It’s actually easy to make and very fun to use during hot weather.

13. Popsicle Garland
Oh, what a lovely decoration! Perfect for occasions in your home. No need to buy a ready-made garland. Just make this one!

14. Cute Crocodile Craft
Crocodiles are dangerous. I will never dare go near one! But you can make some from popsicle sticks, and well… they’re cute and fun! But do tell your kids to never go near a crocodile in real life.

15. Penguin Craft
I love penguins and when I think of these creatures I can’t help but think also of that movie Happy Feet. And this popsicle penguin craft reminds me of it and makes me smile. And it’s cute and fun to have with your kids’ other toys.

16. Harmonica
A DIY harmonica for some fun music with the kids! You can make lots of it, take them outdoors and play with the kids!

17. Little Chicks Craft
Oh, I love little chicks. They’re so cute and I do like chicken for real. In fact, we’re starting to homestead right now which makes me love our chicken more. And it’s such a delight when your hens produce these little ones!
So yes, let the kids make these. I’m sure they’ll enjoy playing with these little chicks! And give them real ones if you can.

18. Star Craft
I love those glitters! They make the star crafts really colorful. You and the kids can make these for decor!

19. Folding Fan
Of course, another fan, this time a folding one. Make these during summer and take outdoors. Use these while you’re watching your kids or when playing with them. You’ll need lots of these when it’s summertime and the sun is out full time.

20. Snowflakes
Oh, I so love snowflakes. They’re beautiful and your kids can play with them. And they’re also nice decors for your home. Make some especially during winter season.

21. Butterfly Craft
Cute butterfly! And looking at it just makes me smile. What do you think?

22. Dragonfly Craft
If there’s a butterfly, of course there’s a dragonfly too! And these dragonfly crafts are just colorful and creative!

23. Paper Octopus Bookmark
Here’s to a cute and colorful bookmark. Your kids will enjoy playing with these too. Make a couple of these so you still have one left for a bookmark. (Haha)

24. Popsicle Stick House
Now this one’s totally creative. A little house! If your kids like playhouses, well, here’s one for them!

25. Napkin Holder
Let your kids make one, then place it on your dining table. I’m sure they’ll be happy to see it daily! It’s also a good opportunity to teach them that they can make useful things for the home from ordinary things like popsicle sticks.
