If you have kids in the house then your TV screen may be filled with smudges and fingerprints. When left on the screen for a long time, this can affect your viewing quality.
But how can you clean up such a delicate surface without ruining it?
The trick is to use a coffee filter! Gently glide it over the screen and you will be able to wipe the surface clean without a single scratch!

This cleaning tip works for other screened gadgets like your laptop, computer and tablet.
Clean the microwave.
If you use the microwave a lot, it may have some residue buildup and stubborn stains by now. Give your microwave a thorough cleaning with this trick!
Mix one cup of vinegar, two tablespoons of lemon juice, and one cup of water in a bowl. Place the mixture in the microwave and set it on high for two minutes. After that, wipe the interior of the microwave with a damp cloth. You will find that the stains and residue will easily wipe off.

Clean the dishwasher.
The dishwasher is an appliance that cleans but it also needs cleaning from time to time – especially when you have hard water in your house.
To refresh and clean your dishwasher, dump two to three cups of white vinegar in it, then run it in a hot cycle. The interior of your dishwasher will be sparkling clean right after.

This trick will help the dishwasher run smoother too.
Clean the mirror.

You know how some cleaning rags leave lint and streaks on your mirror when you clean them? This gives you a distorted reflection after.
Wipe your mirror clean with an old cotton shirt instead! No lint or streaks when you do this trick!
Clean the grout.

Grout is often a problem in the bathroom. You do not need to use cleaning products with harsh ingredients to get rid of grout. There is a more environment-friendly homemade solution that you can create.

Sweep hard-to-reach areas.
We often struggle with hard-to-reach places like the ceiling or corners of a room.
The trick to cleaning these areas is to wrap a towel over the bristles of the broom. Keep it secure with a rubber band. All the cobwebs and dust will easily stick to the cloth so you do not have to exert a lot of effort!

Get rid of water stains.
Do you have stubborn water stains around the house? They can be on your faucets, sinks, water kettle, the glass in your shower, and many more.
Get rid of these stubborn water stains easily by rubbing a lemon slice on them.

The citric acid in the lemon will remove the watermarks. So simple and easy!
Get rid of shower head buildup.
Check your showerhead too during spring cleaning. Mineral deposits can accumulate in the shower head and this actually reduces the water flow and pressure if left uncleaned.
A natural way to dissolve this buildup is to fill a plastic bag with white vinegar. Then, place the bag over the showerhead. Secure it in place with a rubber band and leave it there overnight.

The next morning, you’ll be able to easily clean the showerhead with no problem!
Get rid of pet hair.
When you have fur babies in the house, you must have pet hair all over the place! And let’s admit it. As much as we love our fur babies, their pet hair can be very difficult to clean!
To solve this, use a window squeegee! The rubber edge of the squeegee has a firm grip that will clean up all the pet hair that you missed when you were sweeping!

Remove mildew smell.

Mildew leaves a funky and musty smell even if you have already cleaned it off. When this happens you can create this homemade anti-odor solution!
Mix a teaspoon of tea tree oil with a cup of water. Then, pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Now spray on the affected area and leave it to dry. The smell will vanish soon!
Refresh shower curtains.

Give your old shower curtains new life by putting them in the wash and adding either baking soda or vinegar. Make sure you only choose one. Combining the two will make your washing machine explode.
You may also hand wash the old shower curtain with warm water, baking soda, and wipe at it in between using a microfiber cloth.
Deodorize your mattresses.
Spring is the perfect time to flip your mattress. In fact, you should do this every six months!
Now while you are at it, take the time to deodorize your mattress. Simply sift baking soda on the surface and then let it sit for a few hours. Then vacuum the baking soda off the mattress. And that’s it!

Clean the carpet.
You may simply buy a carpet powder for this, but if you do not want to spend money on that, just use baking soda!
Pretty much like how you do it on the mattress – sprinkle baking soda on the carpet and then let it sit for 20 minutes.

Then vacuum. Now, if you think your carpet needs some scent, simply add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the carpet.
Clean window blinds.
Window blinds gather a lot of dust and blinds are not really the easiest thing to clean. But there is a trick to clean blinds easily, and without making a mess.
Attach a clean rag to your tongs. Then, clamp the tongs on a blind slat to clean it up.

You get to clean both sides of the blinds at once! If dust falls over, you can simply vacuum it up when you are done with the blinds.
Clean the fridge.
Using soaps and detergents to clean the interior of the fridge leaves a chemical smell that some food can absorb. So it is best to go natural when cleaning the fridge.
Martha Stewart has the perfect fridge cleaning solution.

Yup! It’s another trick with baking soda!
Mix two tablespoons of baking soda and a one-quart cup of hot water. Dip a sponge in the mixture and then wipe that in the interior of the fridge.
